Gear of War 3 is the third installment in the GOW franchise and with it comes many changes and a lot of wrap-ups in the storyline giving the game franchise a nice close. With it's beautiful graphics and stunning game play, gears of war 3 is top notch in its groundbreaking style of play. From the time the game is placed into your Xbox 360 and turned on, you will not want to put the controller down. The epic one liners and harsh remarks from Marcus Fenix only add to the gravity of the situation. Unlike GOW one and two, gears three truly stacks up in a year when MW3 and BF3 are cleaning the floor in sales and multiplayer. What those two are missing Gears of War 3 takes with a storyline that will give players the answers they have been waiting for since the original game and when everything concludes you will only want more.
The heart of the game is about survival and regaining what has been lost in gears of war 2 with it's continuation of where things left off. The members of the famous delta squad have grown with the addition of Anya Stroud, Samantha Byrne, Jayson Strattonplus who now fight along sign, Dom, Marcus, Cole, Baird, and Carmine. With the team growth the playable characters reaching eight the action only begins.
As the story progresses players will find new enemies, run into old friends and in the end when you have won the battle, you will want to find others to talk about the campaign. From the visual effects to the amount of time put into creating the GOW 3 story/campaign. Players will notice that the style of play and the controls have not changed from GoW 1 to GoW 3 which makes it easy for anyone who has played any of the others to get used to playing.
A Larger Campaign
Unlike the first two gears games, 3 is much larger in what it offers to players in the single player storymode. The game will give any player hours worth of fun and if you are truly an epic gamer you will want to beat the game on all difficulty levels to earn all achievements within the game. One nice change to the game is the fact that there are females within the game now and not just one or two, but a lot of them and most of them are fearless and amazing with a lancer. The campaign does have some drawbacks for players who are not big on flashbacks as there are a few of those and also the whole *days* before gameplay which can get a little old after a few rounds.
The campaign is a cinematic experience unchallenged by any other current released game, and that offers a lot of cut scenes that can bring you closer and give you more knowledge of the story. Like the rest of the games in the franchise you will notice that the game plays out the same way, from cut scene to objective to blowing things up. For the most part this is what makes gear of war, gears of war and that is all the game needs. The unique weapons in the game have also been polished up and given players a better feel for what they are using. The new voice-overs are even better and the addition of new characters in the game have made it something more. For those who didn't know the game even features the voice of rapper/actor Ice-T who you can hear as Aaron Griffin who like the gangster rapper himself is hardcore. Adding the flavor of Ice-T to the mix of gears of war 3 dialog you will find an even more intense layout of memorable dialog.

As a Gears of War fan I actually enjoy GoW 3 both on a single player and multiplayer aspect, the game gives fans what they want and offers them more in the line of graphics and intense combat. Gears of War 3 has an amazing playability rate as you can keep coming back over and over to play the game in different modes and earn those yet to get achievements. The dialog in the game will keep you amused as you play through it over and over, though some might get old and annoying, you can still enjoy it to a point. The cut scenes will draw you in and allow you to get a better idea of what is taking place and to me that means something in a game that might end with the third installment.
With the different dlc coming out for it this adds some new single player aspects as well as new maps for multiplayer. Speaking of multiplayer the game has total redone itself on that line as well and that is covered in another hub.
