Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Collection pits players up against some over-whelming odds. This is the second part of the Review that I wrote, but is dedicated to the Zombies and animals in the game. The zombies make up a majority of the enemies that you will come across throughout the world. There are also undead animals that you will come across in the wilderness that will attack you or you will have to kill for a mission of some sort.

Along with the Undead Creatures and Zombies you will come across Mythical Creatures will also randomly spawn in area's that you are in. The mounts are something that you will want to capture to have to use during the game. You will have to rope them and break them in to get them but once that is done your mount will be faster and will look better. Nothing beats riding through the Wild West on the back of War; One of the Apocalyptic Horses.

The creatures of Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Collection offers players a wider range of stuff to do in the game. If you get bored hunting and killing Zombies you can also go on a hunt for the Mythical Creatures,or slay a few Undead Animals just to add some change to your playtime. No matter what this is not a boring game at all.

After you complete the Four Horses of the Apocalypse challenge and the Undead hunter Challenge, a Unicorn will appear in a location and you will not receive a message nor see the blue circle, you will just have to look for it. There is really nothing special about this mount except for the Rainbow trail and the butterflies around it. The Unicorn can be fun to ride if you want to give yourself a change from the horses of the apocalypse and feel that the need to be all happy in times of darkness is a must.

The Undead Nightmare Continues with a look into the creatures, animals and the undead that make this game amazing.

Zombies & There Types

The Zombies in the game come in four different types and of course each one has a specialty that players need to watch out for. This is either speed, ooze, a bum rush or massive mobbing ability. Headshots take anything down with one single shot, Deadeye Aim is great to have if you can't get the chance to just aim for a second.

Normal Zombies: Normal Zombies are just that normal, there is nothing special about them, they do move fast when they start running at you, but a headshot and they are down. If you can't get a headshot without your Deadeye aim, then it will take several bullets to drop them. Once you kill them loot them for ammo. When you encounter a Normal Zombies and shoot most other normal zombies within range will move to you, this can become over-whelming if you allow them to get to close.

Bolter Zombie- These zombies are quick and move on all four, but once again a simple headshot with the Deadeye Aim and they drop like everything else in the game. You will know a Bolter Zombie is around when you hear a weird screech in your area. This serves as a warning to be on the look out. You can also encounter this type in multiples which makes it a pain to clear them out if they mob you.

Bruiser Zombies- These are big and fat, normally having an Ax stuck in their skull, they take several shots to drop sometimes around 12 from the pistol and 4 from the rifle. If they charge you, they will knock you down. Taking off their heads is best to kill them.

Retcher Zombies- These are by far the worst of all types, they spit at you and when killed explode taking out other zombies around them. This explosion can also take you out if you are not backed up enough to avoid the green goo. Retchers also seem to move slow but can spit green ooze far, they seem to shoot in a single direction so to avoid getting hit, move around and you will be alright.

TIP

Utilize your DeadEye Aim as much as possible when trying to free towns and other locations from Zombies. This will allow you to take easy headshots, until your DeadEye meter is empty, as you kill zombies it will refill so keep an eye on it as this helps out a lot throughout the game.

For the animals that move fast, getting a Deadeye lock as soon as possible is a good way to avoid getting killed.

The Animals are Zombies to? Oh My!

The undead animals are annoying when you come across them in packs, you will have to shoot them in order to moving as they will follow you. When packs of animals come around, and you have your horse near you, your mount will move away from them to keep safe.

Zombie Coyote- These look like small skeletal dogs and will jump up on you and run around. Don't get distracted by their numbers, take them out one at a time.

Zombie Bat- Larger than in RDR, but this time players can shoot them out of the sky.

Zombie Bull- You will notice the Zombie Bull if you see it as it's spine is sticking out of it's back. Though if you are looking you will find not Zombie Cows in the game. What a shame.

Zombie Wolf- They are large, pitch black looking things, they look like a normal sizes wolf and don't really hold any zombie features to them.

Zombie Boar- It has exposed flesh and nothing else special about it.

Zombie Bear- Looks like a bloody bear with some exposed bones.

Zombie Cougar- A zombie looking cougar that is fast and runs around, attacks and runs away.

Zombie Horse- Looks like a horse but boney and dead, this will not hurt you and can be used as a mount with increased stamina. Sometimes if you are out in the plains or the wilderness and whistle for your horse, a Zombie Horse might come in it's place, just get on it and ride.
