Call of the Dead: Solo Survival Guide and Higher Rounds

For some players the idea of playing Call of the Dead on solo is almost impossible, though I am going to give you ten tips to help you survive. Mainly a four player game like the previous zombie games, Call of the Dead can have it's moments on solo giving the player a good experience and in turn helping to learn the map a little more.

Alone and it's cold

In single player mode you will spawn in the middle like in multiplayer mode, George A. Romero will spawn from the lake and the Quick Revive is located on the island behind George. The difference is Quick Revive is already active and only costs 500 points to purchase. Grabbing the perk before George A. Romero completely gets out of the water is a good idea. The first round will contain 6 zombies and all can be killed quick with a little slice of the knife. On the second round you are hit with around 8 zombies and it takes to slices to kill them. So step up cut , step back while slicing and then move in for the kill. Look for the blue light for the Mystery Box and that should be your first goal by round four.

Power or Mystery Box?

By the time round 4 begins you should have enough points to go either towards the Mystery box or the Power. The price for the power is a total of 2750 points the price for the Mystery Box can very depending on where it is located on the map. Sometimes it will spawn in the room under the power room and that is an advantage. If the box is located in the Power room location than while heading up to the power, stop off and get a nice weapon and than head up. This is also a good idea to get the power on either with a crawler or before the next round begins. Like in multiplayer it is a good idea to stick it out near the power room and lock down the stairs. Also take into consideration that if the Mystery Box spawns on the platform outside the lighthouse it is a good idea to head to it first as it will only cost you 750 Points to get through the cave.

I need a cold Perk-A-Cola

Once the power is on, you have two good weapons from the Mystery Box now you need to decide which perks you need to start grabbing. For a solo player Jugganog is the first one besides Quick Revive that is a must have perk. From there you can choose from the rest, normally in a single player game the perk layout should be something like this.

Quick Revive

Jugganog

Speed-Cola

Double Tap Rootbeer

This perk layout will help you survive longer in solo and even in multiplayer.

Pack-A-Punch

Once you have 5000 Points, two good weapons and the Pack-a-Punch machine spawns head to it and upgrade the better of the two weapons, because now it is time to eliminate George A. Romero. From this point on you should be able to handle the zombie waves as long as you think, use the ziplines to your advantage and keep going to the box when you are low on ammo.

This is totally some good info for surviving the "Call of the Dead" map and is usually the way I do things on most maps infact (except I banned Doubletap and get the Flopper instead).

Running zombie trains in this map can be challenging in higher rounds, but using these techniques definitely helps with surviving! Good show Ghostwolfe!

Thanks Matthew, I actually have two other styles I use when playing solo but the one never allows me to get passed round 9, and my new one I have been working on which is more or less a scrambled egg is crazy, I might post a strategy on that soon. Thanks for the comments and I look forward to reading your hubs as well and props on the blog.
