Call of Duty: Black OPS Nuke town, How can you Play?
74Call of Duty: Blacks OPS map NukeTown is one of those small maps that everyone can enjoy, the map is small and for the most part you have to keep moving around. This map represents a small suburban town that is used for testing nuclear weapons. it has an urban layout to it with a street that has a bus and a moving truck in the center, players can enter the trailer of the moving truck but not the bus.
For run and gunners this is a perfect map and for campers this map can prove to be a little more of a problem for them. Nuketown holds a lot of close quarter combat which make using shotguns for quick kills a good idea. At the end of every game on Nuketown players will see a nuke drop destroying the town and everything in it.
NukeTown consists of two main buildings that players can go in and out of. These two homes have attached one car garages on them and also both have an upstairs with two main ways in. For a camper holding down the bedroom in each of these houses is a key to surviving. The bedroom door is behind the stairs entrance and the upper porch entrance, kneeling or going prone and you could hold the upstairs for the entire game. If you plant a few claymores it's even more secure.
Run and gunners will want to toss frags and flash grenades into the room from the front window or the backstairs. This is a good way to catch the camper off guard and take the room if you can get up before the flash wears off.
Backyard BBQ
Two backyards behind each house hold enough room for a good shootout. A good idea is to keep your eyes on all entrances leading into the yard if you are going to camp. Watch your HUD for targets approaching and use your killstreak rewards accordingly. Remember if you are a camper you can hold the yards down but do not stay in one place for to long the kill cam is your enemy. Move about more often than you normally would on a larger map and you will get more kills and die less.
Run and gunners will want to use higher killstreak rewards to receive dogs, chopper gunner and airstrikes. Use your HUD with a UAV and killing campers is like making hamburgers on the grill.
Love it or Hate It
Nuketown is one of those maps that either players hate or love and for the most part, everyone loves it to some degree. The quick paced action provides players with a unique game experience, Nuketown is also a good map to learn to play Black OPS on and in a few hours you could be a great player. In team Deathmatch this map is even more intense as it brings more players to the field than free for all and leaves less room for mistakes. An RC-XD can get you multiple kills on this map in team Deathmatch or Capture the Flag. During most double XP weekends Nuketown has it's own slot called Nuketown 24/7 which allows players to play this map as much as they like for as long as they like.
Level up or Don't
During Double XP weekends and Nuketown 24/7 it is easy to rank up and even go up on or two levels in prestige. Playing high point games such as Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Demolition will earn you more XP and COD points to move up the rank ladder and closer to earning those golden guns.
Team Deathmatch Nuketown
This is a common game mode that is used in a Nuketown game, with a lot of players and a good amount of kills, players can jump right in and get off a few solid kills. Usually if a team has a good set of players who communicate well with one another they can hold down both houses for the entire game. This will keep the enemy team on the ground and in a position to constantly move about with no hope of making it into the homes.
Both teams will spawn behind one of the houses, so when charging out of the yards, tossing grenades, smoke and stun grenades over the bus and truck to get in a quick kill or stun before making your way into the enemy side.
Quick Tips
- If you see your team heading out away from the dominated point, stay behind and watch the location
- Don't worry about getting a ton of kills in Domination as you get points for winning, holding the location and defending.
- Practice a strategy with your clan to come up with a good plan to perform well in Domination.
Domination on Nuketown
When playing domination on Nuketown you should always focus on grabbing the position where your team spawned first. This is a fast way to grab points right off the start and allow for one less point to grab. One man should stay behind to guard this location as the enemy will move on it when they get the chance. A good way to win domination on Nuketown is communicate and watch each others backs. Keep a good eye on the HUD to prevent enemies from sneaking up, keep your snipers guarded and remember that you get points when the match ends for winning and holding locations.

I have to say that I HATE this board. I did have a good time on it with the group I ended up with, but oh man, I think my arms and legs were blown off more than the stupid mannequin's!
