Dead Island Bloodbath Arena Adds More Experience in combat.

Since the release of dead island there has been nothing but issues with the game and the devs focused on fixing those problems and getting the game stable. This took a few months and within those months many players of the game just gave up and either put it on the shelf of they sold it for something else. For those who don't know about dead island and what you have to do I will explain a little of that.
- You play a survivor on a resort island infested by zombies. You and the other three player characters are immune to being turned into a zombie.
- You help out other survivors and gather items for them that they need and in turn they reward you with cash and items that you can use.
- You gain levels and experience points for killing zombies and completing quests which you can use to build up your skill tree.
That is pretty much the whole of the game, if you have played it in the past that you might be getting back into the game to utilize the first DLC content the bloodbath arena. If you purchased the game on pre-order than you should receive this content for free as long as you have a valid code from the game. The dlc is just under 1GB but is well worth the amount of time it will take to dl it.
The Bloodbath on Solo
The bloodbath arena is located in the first tunnel you come across heading over towards the gas station. You will find a door and if you enter it you will notice some soldiers that are around the location. Some of them will talk to you others will blow you off so you are going to want to look for doors that are marked (A,B,C,D) if this is your first time playing this mode than you will want to go into door A which is an easy level. When soloing door A you will want to make sure you are in between a wall that only has one way towards you so that you don't get attacked from behind. Utilize your rage as well so that you can take out more zombies without decreasing your weapons strength. It is good to take a high level character into the arena who already has a good amount of weapons and decent health.
Once inside the door you will be in a cave looking area that has a pit in the center of it with a small path across it. Once the round begins you will have to fight through zombie after zombie and kill them before they kill you. You will earn a lot of experience points for doing this and on solo it is not that hard to make it to the higher waves. You are limited to the weapons that you have placed in your selection area, once in the arena you cannot pause to select new weapons. If your current weapons are weak you can repair them using the bench inside the cave in between rounds.
For some reason the bloodbath arena reminds me of call of duty: zombies, since all you do is fight the waves, survive, repair your weapons and fight some more. For the most part this is fun and is a good side thing to do in order to take breaks from quests and build up your money and experience points to level up a little faster. The higher the levels you go the more experience points you will gain.
Final Thoughts
I put dead island down many months ago after I beat the game, about a week ago I brushed it off and took to the game again, getting my free dlc of the bloodbath arena. Once I turned the game on and jumped into an arena solo, I thought that the game really is a good one even with the flaws in the lighting and such. I fell right back into the adventure and thrill of killing all these zombies in the bloodbath arena.
The arena offers a new setting and a new challenge to the game that is nice and fun, the thrill of killing the zombies and being rewarded with experience points in order to level up is exciting and worth putting the game back in. This is also a good chance for anyone who hasn't played the game to pick up a copy and give it a try.
